Yes, only God could have made my wedding possible and hitch free..
A lot of challenges came up towards the wedding day;however, the great miracles showcasing the power of God happened two days to our day.
The cow for the ceremony was brought home that day- two days to the D-day. It was very big. The weight of the animal might have been responsible for the seemingly big problem we later encountered .
Around 5pm, we all believed it was the Holy Sport that spurred my daddy to go outside. This is because it was more than once it was impressed on his mind to go check 'something' outside.. He thought it was to check for the fuel in the generator if it would be sufficient for the night.
But alas, the cow had freed itself.
It was standing as if waiting for any challenger.
My daddy could not do a thing but to call some of the neighbors who knew one or two things about cow slaughtering. They gathered around but none could do a thing too.
After about two or three minutes, the cow escaped outside and began a journey of distress to its pursuers.. Several abled men were all on its trails,from our street to the 3rd one. And there was a canal ahead.
God !
If it got there and fell inside the canal, what would have happened?
Not only that one of its pursuers fell before it. But the cow was divinely prevented from harming the man.
Our God moved to deliver us from shame.
Miraculously, they were able to get it back home.
While all this was happening,my mother with one of the caterers was in the market for last purchases.
They had finished and just for the driver to kick start the vehicle brought to the place, when a malfunction was noticed. The vehicle developed a problem so could not moved.
See our dilemma in a day. At home, my father was busy trying to get the escaped animal back home. ,my mother also got stuck in the market.
A call to my dad distressed him the more.
' But Lord, I had prayed on this wedding. I had asked You to sort everything about the wedding out for the entire family so that I come out, roll on the floor and testify in the congregation of the people '. Was all that my dad was saying.
Then the heavens opened ! As the group with my dad got the cow; an angel, we took it to be, was ministering to our vehicle in the market. We were told that the woman got inside the vehicle ,laid her hand on the dashboard and prayed. She came out telling our people to drive the vehicle after 5 minutes.
And so it was, after the stipulated time, the driver got on the steering wheel and started the vehicle.
It responded to prayers!
That was how they got home from a journey spanning 15kilometers.
I thank God for making us more than conquerors.
The Lord Jesus made the day for us.
All these made us to acknowledge HIS love, grace and power on us
Today, in my husband's home,I ponder on these and declare, The Lord is HIS name
