Army destroy Boko Haram's base, free 455 hostages, recover 2 suicide vests (Photos)
Nigerian troops fighting to rout remnants of Boko Haram in the North East have carried out a major offensive against several hideouts of the terrorists in Kala Balge LGA of Borno State, killing scores, while many ran into the bush with bullet wounds.
The troops also rescued 455 captives mostly women and children from the camps of the terrorists. Similarly, the troops encountered Boko Haram terrorists at Shirawa who withdrew in disarray when they could not withstand the firepower of the troops and abandoned the newly constructed Logistics Base.
The troops recovered two freshly prepared suicide bombing vests and maize grinding machine after the shootout.
