Following the increase in water related diseases in Lagos State, the Government, yesterday, disclosed that it had sealed over 100 table water producing factories.
The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commissions, Kabir Abdullahi, who disclosed the statistics at the 2017 World Water Day themed: “Waste Water”, assured residents that the government remained committed to sanitise the water production sector in the state.
Kabir lamented that many years of neglect has exposed the sector to lot of abuse, saying, enforcement would be intensified to fish out the ‘quacks’ among the producers of the table water in Lagos State.
